LECA, the UK market leader for Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregates, is produced in the form of a round shaped hollow clay pellet with a ceramic resistant exterior skin and a porous and lightweight interior nucleus. Simply put, LECA is a super lightweight aggregate with a dry bulk density of approximately 350kg/m3. Totally inert with a neutral pH, our 4-10mm LECA is ideal for creating lightweight soils, subsoils and soil variations, where point loadings need to be reduced. LECA also improves drainage and aeration, whilst also acting as an insulation when added to soils.

LECA is totally inert, it contains no harmful substances or gases and is absolutely 100% neutral, its longevity is expected to be in excess of 100 years.

Product Accreditation

All our Lightweight soils are blended using ‘genuine’ LECA. Unlike many of our competitors, we do not use cheaper inferior substitutes.
