Our European Maritime Pine barks are imported from Spain and Portugal, which is where most of this special maritime pine coastal species grows. We are just one of a very small handful of UK suppliers who import and sell this extremely high-grade, sort after European Maritime Pine Bark, which is unique to the European continent.
100% pine bark with minimal white wood and no fines, this premium exotic decorative bark is the finest, purest bark we sell with a longevity that out-performs all other barks. A deep rich reddish-maroon colour when first produced, this very special bark ages to a rich chestnut brown over time with red and maroon hues, making this bark unique in comparison to British grown barks adding a WOW factor to any high-end landscaping project.
Available in four grades, 8-15mm, 15-25mm, 25-45mm and 45mm+, our Maritime Bark has been rigorously screened to remove the vast majority of elastic and stringy particles, leaving a beautiful, clean uniformed chipped material in four very distinct gradings. All four grades of bark have been fully steam sterilized prior to export, to ensure that the bark is clear of all bugs and micro-organisms, making this product idea for small animal enclosures.
The differing grades of bark cover a wide range of uses, which includes both horticulture, landscape and play. Whilst all grades will add a WOW factor to any landscaping project when used as a decorative dressing or mulch, our 15-25mm grade is extremely uniform in size and appearance, making for an inspiring finish to any garden or planting scheme or when used as a path covering. Additionally, our 15-25mm and 25-45mm grades are also both ideal for use as high-quality play surfaces, being fully tested to BS EN 1177:1988.
